Thank You, Jesus

All my life I searched.
I don’t really know what I was looking for;
something to hold on to, maybe. A reason for living.

My heart broken, my mind confused to the point of insanity.
Happiness would show its face, only to hide again
the moment I reached out to take hold of it.

 I was so alone.
Surrounded by family and friends, but still alone and scared.
Would anyone ever know and love me the way I needed to be loved?
Could anyone accept me in spite of myself, my failures?
Would anyone ever understand?

You called my name. You took my hand.
Your eyes, so soft, looked into my soul,
taking in all that I am and yet You didn’t turn away.
The warmth of Your touch penetrated my heart,
filling it with a love like no other has ever done.
You knew me, and yet You loved me.

You touched my broken heart, and held me as I wept tears of pain and joy.
You gave me hope in the depths of despair, and joy in the midst of sorrow.
You’ve taken away my guilt and pain, and have become my very life.

Each day new challenges arise,
but I now face them with a song in my heart
because I know that I’m not alone.
Nor will I ever be again.

You give me strength when times are tough; and when things look dark,
You give me Your eyes to see the sunshine and beauty in all that surrounds me.
I owe You my very existence. You have become my reason for living.

Thank You, Jesus.

  1. This was me, and Is Me what Jesus Christ had done with me. His always was there even when my mom was caring me. Very touching!! I’m so Thankful and Grateful for Him being in my life today. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
